You can withdraw PF money from Umang app, know how
New Delhi. There are many benefits of the Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance (UMANG) app of the Government of India. As you can know about scholarship scheme, you can use this app for everything from pension, passport, LPG gas to domicile certificate. Another very important advantage of this app is that with its help you can easily withdraw money from your Employees Provident Fund (EPF) account. For this you do not have to submit any paper and money can be easily withdrawn from the PF account.
First of all, you should know that UMANG app is a government app. This app has been designed so that you get different digital services at one place. This app is managed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD). This app may look simple, but it provides more than 1,200 services from more than 200 departments. It also includes EPFO services like checking PF balance, transfer and withdrawal.
Are you eligible to withdraw PF from UMANG?
If you fulfill the conditions given below then you will be considered eligible for this.
1. Linked Aadhaar and UAN- Your Universal Account Number (UAN) should be linked to your Aadhaar.
2. KYC – Your KYC details (Aadhaar, PAN and bank account) should be updated and verified on the EPFO portal.
3. Job status – If you have lost your job, you are unemployed or are taking retirement or have a medical emergency or want to pursue education or buy a house, then you can withdraw money from your PF.
How to withdraw PF money from UMANG
1. First install UMANG app. It is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
2. Now register and log in.
3. OTP will come on your registered number, verify with it and log in.
4. Go to the homepage of the app and click on the EPFO section.
5. Here click on Employee-Centric Services and select Raise Claim.
6. Now enter your UAN and again enter the OTP received on the mobile.
7. Now fill the claim form. Do you want to withdraw the entire PF amount or a part of it?
8. Fill in the required details and also mention the reason why you want to withdraw the money.
9. Submit the application. For this you may need medical certificate or education proof.
10. After submitting the application, keep checking its status. There is a Track Claim section in the app, in which you can check the status.
