Apply for online passport
You can apply for online passport sitting at home. For this, you have to go to the official website of Passport Seva https://passportindia.gov.in. Go there and click on ‘New User/Register Now’. Then complete the registration by filling your name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID. Next, login to the portal with user ID and password.
After login, click on the option of ‘Apply for Fresh Passport’. Then fill your name, address and the rest of the information sought and click on submit. Next, you will see the option of ‘pay and schedule appointment’. By clicking on it, you can decide the date of appointment at your nearest Passport Seva Kendra.
Will have to pay so much
After applying, you will get the option of payment in which you can pay through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. If you are applying for general passport, then you have to pay a fee of up to Rs 1500. You have to pay extra money for immediate passport. After completing the payment, you will get a receipt, which you have to download.
Passport will be found after verification
Next, you have to go to the Passport Seva Kendra on the scheduled date. There you have to take your documents along. The information you have recorded will be investigated. It also includes police verification. After the verification is completed, the passport will be sent to your registered address.
