They hold the product on the surface, make it easier to transfer and melt cream products onto your skin, and they give you better control during application. They are also easier to clean.”
Second, consider the brush density. “Dense yet flexible brushes are ideal,” Briceno says. “They pick up enough product, but allow blending without leaving harsh marks.” Ventre adds that the number-one mistake people make when applying cream makeup is using a brush that’s too floppy or absorbent. You want something with medium-to-firm density and synthetic fibers, which won’t soak up the product or leave streaks behind.”
And lastly, know that the shape of the brush matters. “I love a rounded or slightly angled brush that hugs the contours of the face when applying foundation, bronzers or cream blushes.
