In our latest installment of celebrities spilling their plastic surgery secrets, Margaret Cho clocks in with a “Filler Tour.” The comedian has never been one to shy away from telling it like it is, and her latest Instagram Reel is no exception. At 56, she’s openly sharing with fans exactly what she’s had done to her face: filler, Sculptra, Botox and maybe, eventually, a facelift.
“This is 56 with a fake chin,” she says, half-laughing. Pointing to her lower face, Cho explains that she’s had filler in her chin and in a few other places: “I have filler here, and here and a little bit here,” she says, gesturing to her cheeks, upper face and temples. But for Cho, the bulk of her facial rejuvenation comes from Sculptra. “I think I have way more Sculptra than filler,” she clarifies.
Technically speaking, Sculptra is a filler, but unlike hyaluronic acid-based fillers that add volume instantly, Sculptra not only adds volume but also continues to work gradually over time by stimulating the body’s collagen.
She also shared that she’s had Botox in her neck and chin: “It was super painful..,” she says about her neck injections. As for the neurotoxin in the chin, she was not a fan. “It sort of doesn’t really do anything.”
While she’s certainly dipped her toe in nonsurgical treatments, she says she hasn’t had a facelift, but she’s not opposed to the idea. “I’ll lift whatever.”
“This is what 56 looks like,” she says, “if you have a lot of injections, a lot of Sculptra and a lot of time to think about this kind of stuff.”
Exactly what we’d expect from Margaret Cho.
