Not Big B, but his grandson has taken full advantage of his stardom. Agastya Nanda has eaten free food in the name of his maternal grandfather, not just for one or two months but for two years. Amitabh Bachchan himself has revealed this story in front of Kartik Aryan and Vidya Balan on the sets of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
Vidya is a fan of ‘curd-rice’ while Kartik Aryan is a fan of Chinese.
This Friday, in the reality game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’, Vidya Balan and Kartik Aryan will be seen promoting their upcoming film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. Vidya and Karthik will be seen in the roles of Manjulika and Rooh Baba in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. In this episode, the discussion about favorite food and drinks starts in the show. Amitabh asks Vidya and Karthik that because of their profession they have to pay a lot of attention to their diet. So what does he like to eat when he gets a chance? On this Vidya replies, ‘Curd rice. Whenever I want peace, I eat curd rice.

Go to Chinese stall at 2 o’clock in the night
While talking about street food, Vidya said that she likes Vada Pav from a stall in Chembur. She says, ‘I grew up in Chembur, where there used to be a vada pav stall near the post office. Sir, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. When Karthik told that he is a fan of street food, and specifically mentioned a Chinese stall which is near Amitabh Bachchan’s house in Juhu. Karthik told that since his struggling days till now, he goes to eat at the same stall. Sometimes, even around 2 in the night. Karthik jokingly tells that he has eaten so much at this stall that he named a dish after him, which is called “Karthik Special”.

Agastya Nanda got free food for 2 years
Hearing this from Karthik, Amitabh Bachchan tells an incident related to his grandson Agastya Nanda. Amitabh told, ‘While studying in New York, Agastya would often go to a nearby Indian restaurant and his eyes fell on a dish named “Amitabh Bachchan”. He became very excited after seeing his grandfather’s name. Agastya asked the staff about that dish. After eating it, he told them, “You know, he is my grandfather.” Initially no one believed what Agastya said. To tell him the truth, Agastya showed him a picture of us on his phone, and seeing this he understood. The result was that Agastya started getting free food from that restaurant. This restaurant gave them free food not just for one or two months but for two whole years. Hearing this from Amitabh Bachchan, Karthik Aryan laughs and says, “Sir, whenever I go to eat in Juhu, they charge me the full price!”
Let us tell you that Agastya Nanda is the son of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Nanda and Nikhil Nanda. Agastya has recently started his acting career with the film ‘Archies’ with Shahrukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Jhanvi Kapoor’s sister Khushi Kapoor.
