1. Black gram – 1 cup (soaked overnight)
2. Tejpatta – 1
3. Big Cardamom – 1
4. Ginger – 1 small piece (grated)
5. Asafoetida – 1 pinch
6. Cumin – 1/2 teaspoon
7. Oil – 1 teaspoon
8. Red Chili Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
9. Roast Cumin Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
10. Kasuri Methi – 1/2 teaspoon
11. Chaat Masala – As per Taste
12. Lemon juice – 1 tsp
13. Boiled Potato – 1 (Chopped)
14. Onion, tomato, cucumber – finely chopped
15. Green chili – finely chopped
16. Green Coriander – For Decoration

How to make gram chaat:

1. First remove all the water of black gram soaked overnight and put them in the cooker.

2. Also add a bay leaf and a large cardamom. Do not add salt to it now.

3. Add fresh water on top and cook till 5-6 whistles apply a lid of the cooker. This will make the gram very soft.

4. Now heat a little oil in a pan.

5. Add cumin, asafoetida and ginger to it and fry it lightly.

6. After this, add red chili powder and roasted cumin powder to it and mix a little hot water on top and make a paste.

7. Pour this spice again in the pan and cook for a while.

8. Now add boiled gram and mix well so that all the spices climb the gram.

9. Now add Kasuri fenugreek and plenty of chaat masala.

10. Finally add boiled potatoes, chopped onions, tomatoes, cucumber, green chillies and lemon juice.

11. Mix well and serve green coriander on top and serve immediately.
