Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in her budget speech, mentioned that she hopes that women’s participation in India’s economy increases and about 70% of women should join the economic fans. In the general budget of FY 2025-26, he has made a big announcement for women. During the speech, he has announced two new schemes for the economic empowerment of women of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). Under the first scheme, in the next five years, 5 lakh SC/ST Women Antapinor will be provided a term loan for a period of 5 years. Under this scheme, in the next 5 years these entrepreneurs will be given a term loan (loan) of up to Rs 2 crore. This scheme will be made keeping in mind the things learned from the successful experiences of the “Stand-up India” scheme.
In the second plan, for the first time, 5 lakh SC/ST women who have stepped into the world of business will be assisted in the next five years. Apart from this, online training will also be imparted to increase entrepreneurship and management skills. The purpose of this scheme is to help these groups start their business and make it successful.
