Mamta Kulkarni says that she has meditated 23 years.

One of my clothes, the other is my temple. My temple used to be on a table in my room. I used to go on shooting only after worshiping.
Mamta Kulkarni was a leading Bollywood actress of the 1990s who appeared in films like ‘Karan-Arjun’, ‘Baji’.
Mamta further says, ‘I used to keep Navratri. This Navratri is the help of 9 days. I fasted and 3 havan, morning, afternoon and evening, resolved. It was only on water in 9 days. I performed a yajna with 36 killo sandalwood wood. Then my designer was of Bollywood, she said, ‘What is Mamta doing, you have become very serious. Come on, get up 9 days, now let’s go. Then we went to the Taj, then one or two Navratri became like this. Then I used to take a skip. As soon as I took 2 pegs, I went to the washroom and I felt that all the liquor climbed on me. 9 Din’s penance was like this, because there was no food. It felt like everything burnt inside me. I was sitting in the washroom sitting for 40 minutes.
Mamta further explains, ‘See all this happened in 1996-97. 2 years my Guru saw me that this Bollywood will not let me stay on this path more on this day. That is why he chose me such a place of penance that no one was 12 years old.
