According to the new rules, Aadhar card is mandatory for issuing a new SIM. With this, users can check how many numbers are linked to their Aadhaar. To deal with the increasing cases of fraud and fake calls, the Department of Telecommunications has tightened SIM card purchase rules and has started an initiative to deactivate fake numbers.
But still, if someone else has issued the number on your Aadhar card and you are not aware of it, then it is a very dangerous thing. Because not only are you compromising your privacy, but you can also become a victim of legal action. It is possible that the person who has issued the SIM card linked to your Aadhar card may be held responsible for the activities done by him. – Go to the official website https://www.sancharsaathi.gov.in/.
– Go to Citizen-Centric Services and click on the Citizen-Centric Services option there.
– Now select TAFCOP option and proceed further.
– Enter your mobile number, captcha and OTP.
– After verification, you will see a list of numbers which are linked to your Aadhaar.
– If you see a number which you have not issued then select it and click on Not My – Number and block it.
