Kajri Teej and Sattu’s relationship
Kajri Teej is celebrated on Tritiya Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This time Kajri Teej is on 12 August 2025, on this day, women keep a fast and wish for their husband’s long life and happiness and prosperity. In many places it is also called Saturi Teej. According to tradition, Sattu has special significance on this day. Sattu is not only good for health, but its sweetness fills even more color in devotion.
Sattu – 1 cup
Grieved sugar-½ cup (can do less by taste)
Ghee – 4 cups
Chopped pistachios – 2 tablespoons
Cut almonds – 2 tablespoons
Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
Coconut Bura – 1 tablespoon
1. First put ghee in a pan and heat it on low flame.
2. Add sattu in hot ghee and fry till it becomes light brown while stirring continuously. Keep in mind, Sattu can burn quickly, so keep the speed of heat and running right.
3. As soon as Sattu is light golden, add cardamom powder and mix it.
4. Now add chopped pistachios and almonds and mix well.
5. Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool slightly.
6. When cooled, add ground sugar and mix everything well.
7. Now make small laddus by applying a little ghee in your hands.
8. Wrap coconut boora over laddus so that both taste and fragrance increase.

Tips
1. If you want, you can also add raisins or cashews to it.
2. If you want to make a more healthy version, then use jaggery powder instead of sugar.
3. Do not cool the mixture too much before making laddus, otherwise ghee can freeze and it will be difficult to tie laddus.
