They wonder why they are being cautious.
Recently, fans have noticed TWS’s cautious actions and behavior regarding traditional Korean culture and clothes.

In a recent online community post, netizens wondered why they were being so careful about it and called out PLEDIS for their behavior.
Fans noticed that the members would look toward the staff in front of them when one of the members mentioned hanbok.
When Jihoon (bottom left) mentioned hanbok again, Dohoon press his thigh, stopping him from saying more.
During their Chuseok YouTube content, fans couldn’t understand why they couldn’t use Korean traditional terms.

The content is very fun, but it’s just baffling to see them having to say honey rice cakes instead of just calling it songpyeon (traditional Korean rice cake) and calling it a holiday instead of Chuseok and wearing hanbok. Do I really have to stan the group while being wary of China?
Korean netizens were appalled at the behavior and wondered if it was this bad with other groups with foreign members.

- “If they are going to make a Korean idol group that can’t mention anything Korean and are cautious towards China, just make a Chinese group and promote in China.”
- “Do other Chinese members in groups where hanbok, too? Or is it just them that don’t wear them? What’s with this nationality trolling.”
- “So baffled.”
- “PLEDIS boo.”
Recently, fans also noticed that only PLEDIS groups didn’t wear hanbok for the Lunar New Year greeting video.
