Your wedding isn’t just a celebration of your love, it’s also a great chance to express your style. From the dress to the fine details, your bridal look should reflect who you are and what you love. That includes your hair!
“It always comes down to the bride’s personal style,” explains Harry Josh, celebrity hairstylist and KERASILK ambassador. “Many want to feel effortlessly beautiful, enhanced, but still like themselves. Often, the wedding-day look is a more polished version of their everyday style.”
There are no hard and fast rules for your bridal bob, but it might benefit you to lean away from super trendy looks on your big day.
“Choosing a style highly depends on the bride’s personal style and preference, but I always recommend leaning toward a classic, timeless look—something she’ll never regret when looking back at her photos,” says celebrity hairstylist and SH-RD ambassador, Jennifer Thomas.

The Styles That Say ‘Bride’
“A sleek French bob or a soft old money-style bob with volume at the crown both work beautifully for a bridal bob,” Thomas explains. “They’re elegant, timeless and photograph well.”
While these two styles might be the most stereotypically bridal, you shouldn’t feel boxed in.
“It truly depends on the bride,” adds Josh. “I’ve created bridal looks with nothing more than air-dried waves—and they felt elegant, regal and completely at ease. Sometimes, less really is more.”
And when in doubt, go for something classic.
“As far as key elements to consider, bridal bobs look best when kept timeless and polished—and don’t underestimate the power of accessories!” Thomas says. “A well-placed clip, headband or veil can elevate any short style.”
