New Delhi. More than 150 years old vintage cars and bikes have been shown on the roads from Delhi to Karnal. Celebrating India’s rich automotive heritage and highlighting the artistry and history of bygone eras, the HMCI Classic Drive was organized by the Heritage Motoring Club of India and Noormahal Palace. Vintage car enthusiasts, collectors and car lovers from across the country also participated in this classic drive.
Starting from Nexus Select Citywalk, the drive ended at Noormahal Palace, India’s famous heritage hotel in Karnal. A magnificent blend of Mughal and Rajputana designs, Noormahal Palace reflects the grand history and culture of the Indian Maharajas. HMCI Classic Drive was flagged off by Maharaja Manujendra Shah Bahadur Saheb of the princely state of Tehri-Garhwal, Arjun Sharma, Board Member and Vice Chairman, Nexus Select Mall Management Company and Chandra Shekhar Puri, CGM, Nurmahal Palace.

The rally featured classics including a 1919 Citroën Roadster, 1938 Buick 90L Limousine, 1941 Cadillac, 1952 Citroën Traction Avant, 1957 Bentley, 1959 Ford Consul Deluxe, 1963 Ford Galaxie Convertible, 1965 Mercedes W110, 1965 Mercedes-Benz 110- Treasures were included. Both Noormahal Palace and HMCI stand testimony to the rich automotive heritage and history of our country. The rally successfully highlighted this heritage, with an aim to revive and promote our cultural and national values through the celebration of these vintage automobiles and their history.
